Frequently Asked Questions

  • Creative Tech Parties are about making, experimenting and imagining. Using everyday materials and playful technology, children create something unique, explore their own ideas and leave inspired to keep making long after the party ends.

  • Creative Tech Parties are designed for children aged 6–12, but activities can be adapted to suit different ages, abilities and groups.

  • Parties can accommodate up to 25 children, with ideal numbers depending on the party you choose For animation, children usually work in pairs or groups of three, while Robotics and Invention activities can be done individually.

  • Absolutely. Invention and Robotics Parties can be shaped around themes such as superheroes, characters or imaginative worlds. For Animation Parties, children can even bring along a favourite toy or character and use it to create and bring their own stories to life.

  • For Robotics and Invention Parties, each child creates their own piece to take home. For Animation Parties, children create short films together, which can be shared digitally after the party.

  • I’m based near Winchester and work across Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex. Travel within 25 miles is included; additional mileage charges apply beyond that.

  • For the party, you’ll need to arrange the venue, food and decorations. Ideally, we’ll have access to around 10 tables for making, but if tables aren’t available, we can adapt the activities to work on the floor.

  • I’m flexible, but 10:30am–12:30pm or 2:30pm–4:30pm usually work well around food and energy levels. After-school and early evening parties are also possible.

  • Whether you’re hosting at home or hiring a venue, please allow around 3–3.5 hours in total. This gives enough time for set-up, the party itself and packing everything away afterwards.

  • I’ll arrive before the party to prepare the equipment and materials. Please allow around 30 minutes for Robotics and Invention Parties and 45 minutes for Animation Parties.

  • Each party follows four simple stages: Explore, Make, Share and Take Home. We begin by exploring the materials, tools and possibilities before children develop their own ideas and start making. They’ll experiment, test and adapt their creations, then come together to share what they’ve made. In Robotics and Invention Parties, children take their creations home; Animation Party films are shared digitally after the party.

  • I recommend around 60 minutes of making, followed by a 30-minute food break, then using the remaining time to finish, share and celebrate what the children have created.

  • Creative Tech Parties start from £300. I’ll always confirm the full cost with you in advance, based on the number of children, the party you choose and the materials needed.
